Public Meeting Notice  Notice of public hearing concerning Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Braintree – September 23, 2026

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (the “Department”) has received notification of Encompass Health’s intent to discontinue its adult outpatient therapy program at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Braintree in Braintree, MA. 

The Department will conduct a hearing pursuant to 105 CMR 130.122(D) virtually by Zoom call in order to promote public access. This hearing will not be adjudicatory in nature, but rather a public forum for the presentation of any comments which may be relevant to the Department’s consideration of the proposed change.

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Members of the public and other interested parties may join the hearing by phone, computer, or mobile, using the following information:

Comments will be accepted up to 11:59 PM on September 23.  All written comments submitted to the Department may be posted on the Department’s website and released in response to a request for public records.
