Meet at Meet at Mass Central Rail Trail-Sterling Spur, 25 Gates Road, Sterling. About a 3-mile round trip on easy terrain.
Can naming species of plants and animals connect us to nature? Make close observations on a Ranger-led slow-paced walk along the Mass Central Rail Trail-Sterling Spur and pond loop to identify plants and insects that we encounter. Please dress for the weather. It is recommended to bring water and insect repellent.

Low-tech field guides will be available to find the benefits of each method.
Dogs are not allowed on Water Supply Protection lands.
