Overview

A group of people are hiking on a stone dust trail in the woods in autumn. Some are being pushed in in all-terrain wheelchairs.
Fees: $20/Participant. Cost flexible based on need.

Join the Universal Access Program for accessible small group hiking at Middlesex Fells Reservation in Medford! During this program, run by our partner Waypoint Adventure, you’ll see stunning forests and ponds/waterways, eat lunch, and connect with new people.  And on this hike, we will hike up to Wright’s tower for a view of the City of Boston. 

You’ll benefit from our selection of adaptive equipment, receive instruction to meet any learning style, and be encouraged to reach your individual goals.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Registration ends September 21, 2026.

Day and Time: Wednesday, September 23, 2026; 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

  • Small back pack or bag to carry your things
  • Warm layers (jacket, fleece, etc.)
  • Rain jacket (depending on forecast)
  • Lunch
  • Water bottle
  • Sun protection (hat, glasses, lotion)
  • Lace-up sneakers or hiking boots
