Overview   of Southwest Corridor Park Action Plan Public Meeting #2 2/28/2024

At this virtual public meeting the project team will present draft recommendations for the Southwest Corridor Park Action Plan. These recommendations are informed by findings from the existing conditions analysis and public engagement process that began with a listening session in summer 2023.

The Southwest Corridor Park is a 52-acre, 4-mile corridor running from Back Bay Station to Forest Hills Station that is both a greenway facilitating access to eight transit stations and an important recreational facility with community gardens, basketball and tennis courts, a skate park, and playgrounds. Opened in 1987-1990, the park is due for renewed attention and investment. DCR seeks public input to create a vision for both short- and long-term investments that renovate and modernize the park while strengthening and supporting the communities it serves.

The public will be invited to ask questions and provide feedback on the presentation, using the Q&A functionality that will be available through the virtual participation platform. After the meeting, the presentation will be available for viewing at https://www.mass.gov/dcr/past-public-meetingsDCR encourages the public to share additional feedback, with a deadline for receipt of comments by DCR of March 20th, 2024.
