Then and Now Hike

Meet at Wachusett Reservoir Gate 35, intersection of Route 110 and Chace Hill Rd, Sterling. About 4 miles round trip. 

This slow-paced walk will last about two hours and cover a moderate hilly four-mile round trip. Participants will see evidence of the past and compare the landscape over time, from glacial lake to farmsteads, to reservoir, and protected watershed.

Dogs are not allowed on water supply protection lands.

Hikes will be a slow pace and last about two hours. In the case of inclement weather, hike may be cancelled or modified. To check on hike status please call 617-352-4044 or email Kathryn.Parent@mass.gov.
