Healing, Equity, and Leadership (HEAL) Grant for Youth Violence Prevention

The program addresses the overlapping root causes of violence, a variety of health issues which impact a young adult’s risk for violence, including sexual violence, identity-based violence, dating violence, bullying and suicide.

Youth violence is preventable. The Youth Violence Prevention through Healing, Equity, and Leadership (HEAL) Grant Program focuses on preventing youth violence overall, with an emphasis on preventing specific types of violence that include identity-motivate violence, weapon-related violence, bullying and harassment, suicide and self-harm, and the high-risk individual and community factors associated with youth violence.
