Opportunity Youth

Our Goal: Is to increase the protective factors for youth who engage in violent behavior to prevent them from engaging in further violence.

What you need to know

We aim to serve youth that are desperately impacted by violence. Opportunity Youth uses community voice, and data analysis of experiences to determine priority populations of youth and young adults We seek to engage the ages of 16-24 years old who are at higher risk for experiencing violence.

This program looks to address a variety of health issues which both directly and indirectly impact a young person’s risk for violence, including sexual violence, identity-based violence, teen dating violence, bullying, suicide, and other significant public health issues such as teen pregnancy and substance use.
