The Details of Apply for a New Auctioneer License
What you need for Apply for a New Auctioneer License

To be licensed as a Massachusetts Auctioneer, you will need the following:
- To register by completing a new online application.
- A diploma or certificate from a certified auctioneer school. For more information on Auctioneer Certified Schools see below.
- A $10,000 surety bond on the form Auctioneer Bond approved by the Commissioner of the Division of Standards. Please note, THE BOND MUST BE IN THE NAME OF THE INDIVIDUAL WHO COMPLETED THE AUCTIONEER COURSE. AFTER RECEIVING IT, THE BOND MUST ALSO BE SIGNED BY SAID INDIVIDUAL.
- Two signed letters of recommendation from either a MA state licensed auctioneer, an elected public official from MA, or a member of the Massachusetts bar. The two letters must be from different sources.
- A license fee of $100. Credit/debit cards and ACH payments accepted online.
PLEASE NOTE: MAKE SURE TO UPLOAD ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS TO EXPEDITE THE APPROVAL PROCESS. ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE ALL THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS BEFORE SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION.
This license is valid for 1 year from the date of issue
