What you need for Subscribe to the DPH Hospice Program Listserv
In an effort to streamline communication between the Department of Public Health (DPH) and Massachusetts-licensed hospice programs, the Bureau of Health Care Safety and Quality uses an electronic listserv as the primary method to transmit circular letters and other significant or time sensitive notifications.
Each program must subscribe to the listserv and choose 2 individuals to receive communications:
- The hospice CEO
- A backup clinical manager
Once you subscribe, your email will automatically be added to the distribution list. All communication from the Hospice Program listserv will be sent from donotreply@state.ma.us.
Circular letters will also continue to be posted online.
How to subscribe Subscribe to the DPH Hospice Program Listserv
Each individual subscribing to the listserv must send an email with the subject line, “Hospice Listserv” to: subscribe-dph_hospice@listserv.state.ma.us.
It is not necessary to include any text in the body of the email. Hospice CEOs and backup clinical managers are responsible for keeping their information current.

Changes to contacts
If there is a change in personnel or email address(es), please complete the following steps:
- The individual leaving must send an email with the subject line, “Hospice Listserv Change” to: leave-dph_hospice@listserv.state.ma.us. It is not necessary to include any text in the body of the email.
- The individual who is serving as the replacement listserv contact must send an email with the subject line, “Hospice Listserv Replacement” to: subscribe-dph_hospice@listserv.state.ma.us. It is not necessary to include any text in the body of the email.
