About the MassHire State Workforce Board

The Massachusetts Workforce Development Board serves as the Governor’s advisory board for the Massachusetts workforce development system.

The Massachusetts State Workforce Board plays a critical role in strengthening Massachusetts' workforce system and ensuring it meets both statewide and regional needs. The Board provides strategic leadership, oversight, and recommendations to support a workforce that is innovative, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of employers and workers across every industry.

Committee meetings are open to the public.

Performance and Accountability Subcommittee 

Develops and oversees strategies to enhance the workforce system’s capacity to support MassHire’s mission, vision, and values. It develops and reviews model program metrics and impact reporting standards.

Recognition Subcommittee

Works to highlight and promote workforce best practices and success stories.
