Apply to the Tribal Land Acquisition Grant Program

The Tribal Land Acquisition program provides funding to Massachusetts tribal governments seeking to acquire land, and to nonprofit conservation organizations, municipalities, and others eligible to hold conservation restrictions that are supporting tribes in land protection projects in which the tribal government will be the fee owner. This program supports restoration of tribal relationships to their ancestral land, and requires that the land be maintained in a natural, scenic, or open condition for conservation purposes and cultural access in perpetuity.
