Board of Registration in Midwifery

A public hearing was held on April 23, 2026, by the Board of Registration in Midwifery (“Midwifery Board”), within the Department of Public Health for a new regulation 274 CMR 3.00: Licensed Certified Professional Midwife Licensure Requirements.

The proposed regulation implements the requirements stated in M.G.L. c. 112, §§ 290-297 as inserted by section 38 of Chapter 186, of the Acts of 2024 An Act Promoting Access To Midwifery Care And Out-Of-Hospital Birth Options.
