Certified Group Purchasing Cooperatives

Group Purchasing Cooperatives are organizations approved under 211 CMR 151.00 in accordance with the authority granted to the Commissioner of Insurance by St. 2010, c. 288, §§ 21, 22, 23 and 34 and M.G.L. Chapter 176J, §§ 12 and 13) to coordinate wellness and other programs benefiting employers that belong to qualifying associations.   

Although employers may be able to obtain coverage directly from health carriers, group purchasing cooperatives may offer programs that assist employers in obtaining insured health coverage from contracted health carriers.
