Executive Office of Public Safety and Security Internship Program Eligibility

This page explains who can apply and what screenings are required for the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) Internship Program.

Applicant eligibility

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a college, university, or trade school
  • Be at least 18 years old by the start of the program
  • Pass a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check; fingerprinting may be required

Minimal in-state travel may be required and varies by position

Application requirements

For the application, please be prepared to provide the following:

  • Resume
  • Unofficial transcripts
  • Response to the question below with an essay:
    • Which agency(s) and/or unit interests you the most within the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, and why?
    • Provide an example of a goal you’ve set (identifying the situation, task, action, and result), and how you achieved it.
