Healthy Summer Youth Jobs Program
Created in 2015, the Healthy Summer Youth Jobs program has provided over 1,000 young people across the state with an opportunity to positively impact public health in their communities and gain important on-the-job skills.
The annual grant program uses funds received by the AG's Office through health care and child labor settlements to provide grants to fund health-focused employment for young people. These grants fund jobs across Massachusetts - in cities and towns, government offices, and non-profit organizations. Applicants may apply for grants to fund jobs that benefit public health and provide professional development opportunities for youth employees.
To date, the AG's Office has provided more than $2.6 million in funding through 635 grants to 205 organizations in 81 cities and towns across the state. The resulting jobs have addressed important community needs such as food security, intergenerational wellness, and local conservation efforts.

The AG’s Office awards grants to nonprofits and municipalities to support their summer jobs programs. The AG’s Office does not accept applications for youth employment to the Healthy Summer Youth Jobs program.
