Insurance Card Archive Portal

Find employer insurance companies from the1940s through 1986.

The Department of Industrial Accidents (DIA) has converted its insurance card archive from microfilm to an online searchable digital format. The entire archive is now available at Microfilm Insurance Archive | Massachusetts DIA The search engine is free and available to all interested parties.

The instructions on how to utilize and navigate the archive are linked below.

Please be advised, the original microfilm will remain on site at the DIA’s Boston Office (2 Avenue de Lafayette, Boston, MA 02111) until February 28, 2026. After that date, the film rolls will be transferred to an off-site storage facility.
