Joanie is relatively new to farming but in a little over a decade, has established herself as a premier purveyor of high quality, locally raised Grass-fed beef from the cows on her family farm. Her products have been served at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City.

Before 2012, she had no background in farming other than gardening but decided that she wanted to humanely raise beef for herself and her family so in 2012, she bought a small herd of cattle and rest is history.

Her cows are raised on a 300 year old, 500 acre farm where they have free range to roam and graze and are part of the natural ecosystem of their surroundings, contributing to the growth of other species and ensuring the sustainability, biodiversity, and stewardship of the land.

She loves being outside, working with her animals, and engaging with her customers on how livestock should be raised. She encourages people to reach out to her to arrange for a visit to her farm so they can see the best practices that she employs in taking care of her animals and land.
