In case number 07 TL 001026, "07" represents the year 2007.

Six-digit sequence number

A six-digit sequence number can be found in every Land Court case number. In case number 07 TL 001026, "001026" is the sequence number. In smaller case numbers, the six-digit sequent number includes zeroes so that there are always six digits.  For example, in case number 07 TL 000456, “000456” is the sequence number, not “456.”

Exception

The subsequent (SBQ) case type has a unique case number format

Example: 15 SBQ 00025 09 – 001

Two Digit Year [space] Case Type [space] Plan Number [space] Two Digit Month [space, single hyphen, space] Sequence Number 

The Plan Number is the manually entered sequence number, which comes from the Plan Number or Land Court Case Number that appears on the Certificate of Title. 

The Sequence Number is the sequence number of the of the SBQ cases filed in that month in that year for that same plan number.
