Agenda & Meeting Materials

The next meeting of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) Organics Subcommittee will be held:

Thursday, May 29, 2025
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

We will be conducting this as a hybrid meeting, both in person and via Zoom:

To Attend Via Zoom:  Please pre-register for the meeting if you wish to participate. After signing up, you will receive a confirmation email that will explain how to join the meeting.

To Attend In Person: The meeting location will be MassDEP’s Office at 100 Cambridge Street in Boston.  Note that in person attendance will be limited to 20 people.  If you plan to attend in person, please register by emailing John Fischer at john.fischer@mass.gov by the end of the day on Tuesday, May 27.  Registering in advance is important as our space for in-person attendees is limited and we need to provide a list of in person attendees to our Front Desk and Building Security in advance.  For those who register to attend in person, we will provide you with more detailed instructions for in-person attendance.

Agenda

This meeting will focus on the first two sections of our Organics Action Plan:

1. Preventing Food Waste at the Source
2. Food Donation and Rescue
