The Board of Registration of Hearing Instrument Specialists oversees the practice and licensure of hearing instrument specialists in Massachusetts. These individuals dispense and fit hearing aids for those with impaired hearing. The board regulates the practice of these individuals to ensure a standard of practice best fit for the security of the public. Any complaints filed against these licensees is investigated by the board.
