About the Multimodal Local Street Network Working Group

The goal of the Multimodal Local Street Network Working Group was to prioritize design alternatives for the dedicated bus lanes, sidewalks and cycle tracks, and travel/turning lanes. 

The Multimodal Local Street Network Working Group met from August, 2024 to February, 2025. The Core Working Group included the following representatives:

  • 495/ MetroWest Partnership
  • A Better City
  • Allston Civic Associate
  • Boston University
  • Community Representative
  • Harvard University
  • Livable Streets
  • MBTA
  • Metropolitan Area Planning Council
  • WalkMassachusetts

The Agency Chair of this meeting was MassDOT Traffic, and the Co-chair was the City of Boston.
