Allston Multimodal Transportation Project

MassDOT is progressing the design to replace the I-90 viaduct in Allston.

The project will dramatically improve livability and connectivity for residents of the Allston neighborhood. It will preserve and enhance regional mobility through improvements to I-90 and its abutting interchange.

The project is planning to conduct cost and engineering analyses to be performed by an independent review team. These results will be examined in 2026 to determine how to deliver the most transportation benefits with available resources.
