The public outreach process utilizes comprehensive communication strategies to engage the diverse communities within the region and solicit feedback.
To better understand and engage these communities and their needs, a robust Public Involvement Plan (PIP) was developed to guide the public outreach process and identify key stakeholders and an outreach schedule. This has enabled MassDOT to conduct effective outreach and engage with many different groups and organizations to ensure the outreach process is as inclusive as possible.
Information from public meetings and open houses is available on the documents and meeting materials page, and these meetings will continue throughout the duration of the replacement of the Cape Cod Bridges.
Soliciting feedback and incorporating public input has been a top priority. Comments from the public and key stakeholders have been integrated to the maximum extent possible. In addition to feedback submitted in-person, via phone, mail, or email, the public also has access to an online comment form hosted by the innovative Public Involvement Management Application (PIMA).
