Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Vendors on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Restaurant Meals Program (RMP). This information may be updated frequently. Please check back regularly for updates.

What is the Restaurant Meals Program (RMP)?

The SNAP Restaurant Meals Program (RMP) allows older adults (60+), homeless individuals, and people with disabilities to buy food at authorized restaurants/food trucks using their SNAP EBT card.

Which Restaurants and Food Trucks are accepting SNAP?

To see a complete list of approved Restaurants and Food Trucks, visit our web page. Here you will see a list or Restaurants and Food trucks currently accepting SNAP and some that are coming soon.

You will also see a sticker with the RMP logo at the business, verifying that they are currently accepting SNAP.

How do I purchase food from a RMP Restaurant or Food Truck

To order food, simply go to the Restaurant or Food Truck and tell your server that you will be using SNAP. The server will then be able to run your EBT card and you will get your order. Please note that you cannot call ahead when you are using SNAP. Please verify that you are eligible for RMP before going to the Restaurant or Food Truck.

How do I verify that I am eligible for RMP?

To verify that you are eligible, call the customer service number on the back of your EBT card (1-800-997-2555). Press option 6 for RMP and follow the prompts. Be sure to have your card number available.) 

If you have an active SNAP case, and we are aware that you are either over 60 years old, have a disability, or are experiencing homelessness, you will already be eligible. If you have a disability, or are experiencing homelessness, and are not sure if DTA is aware, you can notify your case manager of your situation.

Does SNAP Cover Meals Tax or Gratuity?

Meals purchased from RMP Restaurants and Food Trucks are exempt from meals tax. Please check your receipt to verify that you were not charged.

SNAP cannot be used to leave a tip for good service, so please be sure to bring another form of payment.
