MassAbility and Executive Order No.368
Through State Executive Order No. 368, Massachusetts State Rehabilitation Council oversees MassAbility in regards to:
- Compliance with federal law
- State laws that impact a person with disabilities’ opportunity to work
- Grant applications
- Issuing an annual public report on the status of MassAbility Career Services (the report is based on data collected from surveys given to service recipients)
- Working with following organizations to improve our services
- Statewide Independent Living Council
- Advisory panels created through the Individual With Disabilities Education Act
- The Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council
- Massachusetts Mental Health Planning Council
- Building partnerships with MA’s Independent Living Council and Independent Living Centers (ILCs).
