Access Pass

An Access Pass is a special pass issued by the U.S. National Park Service that provides free admission to individuals with disabilities and allows them to access various recreational sites and services managed by federal agencies. The pass covers entrance fees for national parks, forests, wildlife refuges, and other federal recreation areas. It is free for individuals with disabilities, serving as a means to promote inclusive access and enjoyment of these natural and cultural treasures.

Where Can I get an Access Pass?

Passes are available in person at a federal reacreation site. Please be aware that passes are not available at all national park sites. Review the places to get an Access Pass to find a location.

Passes are also available online. If purchased online, while the pass itself is free, there is a shipping and processing cost to get a pass online or through the mail.

Massachusetts Universal Access Program

The Department of Conservation and Recreation's (DCR) Universal Access Program provides outdoor recreation opportunities in Massachusetts state parks for visitors of all abilities. DCR has specialized recreation equipment for you to use at beaches and skating rinks, and also offers year-round adaptive recreation programs.

We invite you to use this website as a guide to discover the most accessible parks, forests, beaches, and events.
