Quincy Riverwalk

Neponset River Reservation

About

The Quincy RiverWalk, part of the Neponset River Reservation, provides a 2 mile trail along the Quincy side of the Neponset River Estuary, from the Gazebo at Adams Inn to Squantum Point in DCR’s Squantum Point Park. Both of these terminuses provide spectacular views of the estuary and, in the case of Squantum Point, of the City of Boston. Further additions to the Quincy RiverWalk are still being planned (as of Sept. 2014).

The RiverWalk includes a natural beach behind the Boston Scientific facility on Commander Shea Boulevard in Quincy from which canoes and kayaks may be launched and landed. Free parking is available a few hundred feet from the launch. The Quincy RiverWalk is directly connected via the Neponset Avenue Bridge sidewalk to Pope John Paul II Park and the Neponset Greenway trail in Dorchester, which are also part of the Neponset River Reservation.

Except for DCR Squantum Point Park, the Quincy RiverWalk is built on private land with public access.
