Parking

There is paid metered parking available on the streets, as well as the James House parking lot at 50 Gothic Street and the EJ Gare Parking Garage on Armory Street. 

Facilities

The law library is open to everyone.  The Hampshire Law Library is on the ground level 1st floor of the old historic courthouse.  The doors are locked; please check in at the Hampshire Superior/Northampton District Court located 15 Gothic Street and you will be escorted over to the library after being screened by security.  Attorneys may call the library at 413-586-2297 to enter the library with an active bar card.

The law library offers:

  • books and materials to borrow
  • online databases for no charge, including Westlaw and Lexis.
  • free public wifi

Accessibility

The aisles between the library stacks are 33" wide. The librarian will be happy to retrieve items from the shelves when necessary.
