In 1994, as part of a troop realignment, the Troop A Headquarters was relocated from Framingham to Danvers, accompanied by the construction of a sub-station to accommodate the erstwhile Peabody Troops. This station's jurisdiction extends over 169 square miles, traversing 15 cities and towns along the densely trafficked corridors of Routes 128/95 and Route 1. Included in the SP Danvers patrol zone is the Breakheart Reservation in Saugus, which boasts over 700 acres of forests and recreational trails, situated just off Route 1 near the Lynn Fells Parkway. The southern patrol region is responsible for overseeing the bustling "shopping alley" along Route 1 in Saugus and Peabody, whereas the eastern boundary of the patrol area encompasses Cape Ann. To the west, the patrol jurisdiction converges with SP Concord at the Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington.
