Overview

North Dartmouth is tasked with the primary responsibility of overseeing 31 miles of Route 195, stretching from Mattapoisett to the Rhode Island state line. Additionally, it patrols 12 miles of Route 24, from Freetown to the Rhode Island state line, 12 miles of Route 140 from Freetown to New Bedford, and 4 miles of Route 79 in Fall River.

Facilities

North Dartmouth has the primary duty of patrolling 31 miles of Route 195, extending from Mattapoisett to the Rhode Island state line. It also covers 12 miles of Route 24 from Freetown to the Rhode Island state line, 12 miles of Route 140 from Freetown to New Bedford, and 4 miles of Route 79 in Fall River. In addition, this barracks oversees secondary patrol duties across 49 miles on Routes 88, 117, and 6.

Within the patrol jurisdiction of the North Dartmouth barracks is Fall River, known for Battleship Cove. This renowned tourist attraction hosts the U.S.S. Massachusetts among other naval exhibits, drawing visitors to the area.
