MassAccess is a free program that matches people with disabilities with accessible housing
How does MassAccess Help People with Disabilities?
The Accessible Housing Registry is located at the Citizens' Housing and Planning Association where people with disabilities are linked with owners and managers of accessible housing
MassAccess catalogs the following housing information: location of housing by city or town, rent level, number of bedrooms, accessibility features, and vacancy status
MassAccess Registry includes info about state and federally assisted housing, public housing, and private market-rate housing
Mass Access is funded by MRC and the Department of Housing and Community Development
What are the Eligibility Requirements?
Housing information is available to anyone with a disability, their family members, or advocates, regardless of age, income level, or the nature of the disability.
Where Can I Find an Application for Accessible Housing?
For more information, the Mass Access Housing Registry offers resources for both rental and homeownership opportunities.
The Independent Living Centers can provide you with the housing information Mass Access collects. They will help you with the application process and give you information on tenant rights, civil rights, and home modifications. Ask for the housing coordinator at any one of the Independent Living Centers.
