MassDOT Qualified Construction Materials

Materials that are used on MassDOT Highway construction projects must conform to the requirements shown in the MassDOT Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, Supplemental Specifications, and Contract Special Provisions documents. Qualified materials are listed on the Qualified Construction Materials List (QCML). The materials listed on the QCML must conform to the requirements in the specifications and QCML criteria. All qualified construction materials are also subject to performance at the manufacturer’s facility, on the project, or in the laboratory, and shall be removed at the discretion of the Department if results are deemed non-conforming. A link to the most current version of the QCML is found on this web page and any material listed on previous versions will not be accepted by MassDOT and are voided.
