The minimum fair wage laws and regulations address basic minimum wage and overtime. They also cover pay for tipped employees, reporting pay, on-duty or on-call time, travel time, and expenses. Deductions for lodging, meals, uniforms, and required wage records are also covered.
Effective January 1, 2023, minimum wage has increased to $15.00. Tipped employees will also get a raise on Jan.1, 2023, and must be paid a minimum of $6.75 per hour if their tips bring them up to at least $15 per hour. If the total hourly rate for the employee, including tips, does not equal $15 at the end of the shift, the employer must make up the difference.
