Beginning on November 25, 2024, two additional licenses issued by the Division of Radiation Control (DRC) and three additional licenses issued by the Division of Food Protection (DFP) will transition to the Bureau of Climate and Environmental Health’s (BCEH) online licensing system.

The online licensing system improves user’s application experience and reduces processing times. Licenses issued by the Division of Radiation Control and Division of Food Protection will transition to the new system beginning on November 25, 2024, at 12:00 pm. This includes any applications that may have been paper-based previously.

The licenses transitioning on November 25, 2024, at 12:00 pm include:

Division of Radiation Control (DRC):

  • Diagnostic Radiography Facility Registration (DRAD) & New Facility Shielding Plan
  • Mammography Facility Licensing & Shielding Plan

Division of Food Protection (DFP):

  • Food Processors and Distributors
  • Meat and Poultry
  • Mobile Poultry Processing Unit (MPPU)

After November 25, 2024, affected license holders may apply for or renew a License on the Environmental Health eLicensing Portal. If this is your first time using this new portal, please see BCEH eLicensing System User Guide for information on how to get started.

The remaining licenses issued by the Division of Radiation Control and Division of Food Protection (not listed here) will continue to function under the current system of paper applications and mailed permits until further notice. All license holders and prospective applicants should prepare as the Division of Radiation Control (DRC) and Division of Food Protection (DFP) will transition the remaining licenses to an e-licensing system by mid-2025.

For more information on the transition, please visit BCEH E-Licensing Transition Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS). If you still have questions after reviewing the FAQ document, please email the bureau using our eLicensing Support Request Form.

Special Notice: Please be aware that the Food Protection Program (FPP) and Radiation Control Program (RCP) are currently transitioning to the titles Division of Food Protection (DFP) and Division of Radiation Control (DRC) as part of changes in BCEH. Until the transition is complete, some files and web page content may reference the previous titles. Users interacting with the eLicensing system should be aware that the Food Protection Program (FPP) and Radiation Control Program (RCP) are the same as the Division of Food Protection (DFP) and Division of Radiation Control (DRC).
