5/02/2025
  • Board of Registration in Nursing

Beginning on May 5th 2025, attestations as to whether an applicant has a history of supported abuse or neglect findings by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) will be submitted online with a new electronic consent form available with new and renewal license applications at Board of Registration in Nursing | Mass.gov.

Currently applicants must download and complete a PDF form, re-uploading it to the application upon completion. The consent form is now built into the application and can be authorized with an electronic signature.

This updated DCF background check procedure will improve operational efficiency at BHPL and DCF while still ensuring appropriate applicant screening.
