BOSTON – The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) announced today that the drawing for the 2026 Annual Low Number Plate Lottery will be broadcast live on Wednesday, September 9, at 2:30 p.m. via Vimeo, accessible through the RMV website

More than 16,000 eligible Massachusetts residents entered this year’s lottery for the opportunity to win one of 237 available low-number standard white passenger license plates, including 318, 7575, 8J, 66K, V3 and L99. Winners and alternate winners will be selected electronically using a random number generator.

Registrar of Motor Vehicles Colleen Ogilvie will host the broadcast, with welcoming remarks from Interim Secretary of Transportation and MBTA General Manager Phil Eng. Members of the RMV's senior staff will call out the winners during the drawing.

Following the lottery, the RMV will notify winners via the US Postal Service and post the official results on the RMV's website.
