- Division of Occupational Licensure
The Division of Occupational Licensure is moving another group of professional licensing boards to its new online system, eLIPSE, on August 3, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. This update is part of the Commonwealth’s ongoing work to make licensing services simpler, faster, and easier to use online.
The boards transitioning to eLIPSE are Cosmetology and Home Inspectors. To get ready for the switch, ePlace access for these boards will end on July 29th at 5:00 p.m. To avoid delays, we encourage you to finish any applications, renewals, or updates in ePlace by 4:00 p.m. that day.
The licensing functions for the boards already using eLIPSE will also be unavailable from 5p.m. on Wednesday July 29 through 8a.m, on Monday August 3rd. These boards include:
- Board of Certification of Operators of Drinking Water Supply Facilities
- Board of Public Accountancy
- Board of Registration in Embalming and Funeral Directing
- Board of Registration of Architects
- Board of Registration of Landscape Architects
- Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters
- Board of Registration of Massage Therapy
- Board of Registration of Real Estate Appraisers
- Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons
- Board of Examiners of Sheet Metal Workers
All other boards will continue using ePlace until they are scheduled to move to eLIPSE in the future.
