Prescription Monitoring Program

The Massachusetts Prescription Monitoring Program (MA PMP) is launching a new alert functionality in its MA prescription awareness tool (MassPAT) which will go live on May 5, 2025.

The new functionality – the MOUD (medication for opioid use disorder) Alert - will inform buprenorphine prescribers when their patients have a gap in their medication, reducing the risk of relapse and both non-fatal and fatal overdoses for those diagnosed with an opioid use disorder (OUD).
