News  Transitions to a new online licensing system

  • Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration

Beginning on January 24, 2024, the following Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration system will transition to an online licensing system on January 29, 2024:  

  • Dentistry MCSR 

  • Physician MCSR 

Effected license holders may apply for or renew a License on the Health Professions Licensing Portal. If this is your first time using this new portal, please visit Health Professions Licensing System User Guide for information on how to get started.

  • Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration 

    We register those who manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess, prescribe, or administer controlled substances. In Massachusetts, "controlled substances" includes all prescription drug products.
