The Trial Court Law Libraries were ranked second place among five Legal Research Providers by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, recognizing the outstanding resources and support they offer to the public and legal community.

"It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the law library staff," said Robert DeFabrizio, Senior Manager of Law Libraries. "We continue to strive to make our services and legal information accessible to all who live and work in the Commonwealth."

He added that that staff should be especially proud of ranking ahead of Westlaw and Lexis — two multi-billion-dollar research companies. The Social Law Library, located in the John Adams Courthouse, was ranked first this year.

The ninth issue of Reader Rankings highlights companies and services that are highly rated by the publication's readers. The 2025 Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Reader Rankings survey received nearly 10,000 votes across 55 categories, with participation from over 2,000 voters.

“The Trial Court Law Libraries team is dedicated to providing the bench, bar, and public with access to legal information and legal reference material. I am extremely proud of my staff and grateful they received this well-deserved recognition," said  Sheriece Perry, Director of Court Services & Law Libraries.

The Trial Court Law Libraries first entered the rankings in 2022. This is their second year in second place.
