Massachusetts Court System Public Notice of Non-discrimination Based on Disability

The Massachusetts Court System advises its employees and the public that it does not discriminate on the basis of a person's disability in employment, or in access to its services, programs, and activities.

The Massachusetts Court System seeks to provide appropriate reasonable accommodation(s) as requested by qualified persons with disabilities so they can participate equally in the services, programs, or activities of the Judiciary. Court users should request accommodations as soon as possible but at least 72 hours prior to the need for an accommodation by contacting the local court’s ADA Assistance Coordinator. Inquiries, requests, as well as complaints that a service, program, or activity of a particular court is not accessible to persons with disabilities should be directed to one of the ADA Assistance Coordinators designated for that court.

Applicants and employees should contact the Department of Human Resources to request reasonable accommodations.

The ADA does not require the judiciary to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its proceedings, procedures, services, programs, or activities, or result in an undue financial or administrative burden.
