Public Health Volunteer Opportunities & Requesting Volunteers

Massachusetts needs volunteers of all skill levels and backgrounds from both medical and non-medical professions. If you are a licensed or certified health care provider, a public health professional, a retiree, or have an interest in helping the community, please consider becoming a volunteer.

Upon complete registration, volunteer opportunities will be shared on an as-needed basis. Volunteers will be contacted with these opportunities based on the frequency, specific needs and details of incoming requests.

Other ways to get involved

Join your local Medical Reserve Corps

Currently, 34 locally managed Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) units of both medical and non-medical volunteers exist throughout Massachusetts. These MRC units also are providing local responses to COVID-19 within their communities. If you are interested in joining your local MRC, visit the link below:

Request volunteers

If your facility would like to request volunteers please download and complete the volunteer request form.

Please email the completed form to maresponds.deployments@mass.gov and the volunteer support team will work to provide you the requested support.

DPH will perform a CORI/Nationwide/SORI check prior to volunteers being eligible for deployment. As appropriate DPH also performs a licensure check, based on the information provided by the volunteer, against publicly available license information. DPH makes no further representations.
