Massachusetts administers the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE). The UBE is a two day exam consisting of Written portions - the Multi-state Performance Test (MPT) and the Multi-state Essay Exam (MEE) on Tuesday - day 1, and the Multi-State Bar Examination (MBE) on Wednesday- day 2. The bar exam is currently held in Boston and Springfield, MA. Exact locations and times are subject to change so it is important for petitioners to be aware of the information pertinent to the current exam. Details will be available prior to the Petition for Admission by Examination filing period. The Petition must be filed at least 75 days prior to the exam you wish to take.

July 2021 Massachusetts administration of the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE)
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the July2021 UBE will be administered remotely in Massachusetts. The July 2021 filing period will open on Wednesday, April 1, 2021, with a filing deadline of Wednesday, May 14, 2021.
Exam Dates: July 27-28, 2021.
Filing Deadline: You must file the Petition for Admission by Examination by May 14, 2021.

February 2021 Uniform Bar Exam in Massachusetts:
Results will be released late April 2021. The Massachusetts Law Component must be successfully completed to be eligible for admission to the Massachusetts bar.
