The Board of Bar Examiners (BBE) releases the results of the July bar exam in October and the February exam in April to all examinees by email. The email will include information about the next steps, a breakdown of the scores and the total score. Passing examinees will be posted by name on the website per the Rules of the Supreme Judicial Court.
Results for the October 2020 bar exam have been released to petitioners who sat for the exam in Massachusetts.

October 2020 Exam: The names of all examinees who passed the written portion of the October 2020 exam have been posted pursuant to the Rule 3:01 of the Rules of the Supreme Judicial Court after notification of the results has been sent to examinees.

If a passing score on the February 2021 bar exam is not achieved, you may request copies of your essay answers by mailing a written request, including your examination seat # as indicated in the results email delivered on April 28, 2021 to:

Your request must be postmarked by May 21, 2021 and must include a bank check or money order made payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (not to the Board of Bar Examiners) in the amount of $25. Personal checks are NOT accepted. All Essays will be delivered electronically to the email address of record with your bar petition.
Copies of the MBE are unavailable.
Late requests will not be fulfilled NO EXCEPTIONS.
