The Board of Bar Examiners (BBE) releases the results of the July bar exam in October and the February exam in April to all examinees by email. The email will include information about the next steps, a breakdown of the scores and the total score. Passing examinees will be posted by name on the website per the Rules of the Supreme Judicial Court.

The statistics for the bar exam are posted on this website after results are sent to all examinees. The statistics include the overall summary of the results and the summary by law school in Massachusetts.

The names of all examinees who passed the written portion of the exam will be posted here on October 15, 2018 pursuant to the Rule 3:01 of the Rules of the Supreme Judicial Court after notification of the results has been sent to examinees.

If a passing score on the July 2018 bar exam is not achieved, you may request copies of your essay answers by mailing a written request, including your examination seat # as indicated in the results email delivered on October 12, 2018, to:

Your request must be postmarked by October 26, 2018 and must include a bank check or money order made payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (not to the Board of Bar Examiners) in the amount of $25. Personal checks are NOT accepted. All Essays will be delivered electronically to the email address of record with your bar petition.
Copies of the MBE are unavailable.
Late requests will not be fulfilled NO EXCEPTIONS.
