Check your eligibility to receive a MassEDP telephone

If you meet eligibility requirements, you may be able to receive a MassEDP home telephone.

Eligibility requirements

To participate in the program, you must:

  • Live in Massachusetts
  • Have a permanent disability that affects the use of a home telephone
  • Have access to a residential land line

Your disability must be certified by any of the following medical professionals who are licensed in Massachusetts:

  • A physician
  • An audiologist
  • A speech pathologist
  • An ophthalmologist/optometrist
  • A neuropsychologist

Your disability must be certified by one of the following commissions:

  • The Massachusetts Commission for Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • The Massachusetts Commission for the Blind
