Citizenship for New Americans Program (CNAP)

CNAP services can guide you through the naturalization process and attain American citizenship.

Becoming a citizen is a major step towards full integration into American life. Services under the Citizenship for New Americans Program (CNAP) are available to help with your naturalization process.

Services provided include:

  • ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes
  • Civics classes
  • Citizenship application assistance
  • Interview preparation
  • Supportive services – including interpretation and referral

Are You Eligible?

CNAP is for those who are:

  • Legal permanent residents of Massachusetts (i.e. green card holders)
  • Within 3 years of eligibility to become U.S. citizens.
