Leading by Example Grants

Overview of Leading by Example grant programs and funding to clean energy and greenhouse gas emission reducing projects at Massachusetts state facilities.

Background

In support of aggressive clean energy and greenhouse gas emission reduction targets set by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Leading by Example Program (LBE) provides grant funding to state entities through various grant programs targeting a host of clean energy technologies. By financially supporting clean energy projects, LBE is helping agencies reduce emissions and energy costs. Funding for these programs is from the Alternative Compliance Payments from the state’s Renewable and Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard programs administered by DOER.
