Licensing Requirements: Adviser - Corporate

Business Entity Adviser Applicants Instructions: 

The requirements for advisers are governed by M.G.L. c. 175 §177A and §177B. To become a corporate insurance adviser in the Commonwealth, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. No insurance license issued to the applicant has ever been revoked or suspended.
  2. The business entity must have a member listed on the license that holds an active adviser license in Massachusetts.
  3. A written contract describing advising services uploaded to the NIPR Attachments Warehouse. Written adviser's contract must correspond with the name on the insurance adviser's license; no other name will be accepted. Please review contract information: Adviser Contract Information.
  4. A complete and accurate license application online through NIPR.com with a licensing fee of $66.66 per member. Please note the fee is non-refundable.
