MassDEP Reduce & Reuse (R&R) Working Group

A forum for discussion of source reduction and reuse regulations, policies, and programs in Massachusetts.

The R&R Working Group was established to help in the development of a MassDEP Strategic Reduce and Reuse Action Plan as outlined in the 2030 Solid Waste Master Plan. The working group is open to anyone interested in providing input on source reduction, reuse, and repair strategy in Massachusetts, and keeping informed of new policy and program developments.

MassDEP released its final Reduce & Reuse Action Plan, which the agency committed to develop and update, with input from the R&R Working Group, as part of its 2030 Solid Waste Master Plan.

Our planning team is taking time to develop a plan for our transition to local and regional workshops that will directly support building reuse/deconstruction/building material salvage in communities that are ready to take the next step.

Please be on the lookout for an announcement regarding a meeting later this spring. We look forward to our continued work together.
