Order the audio of a proceeding in the Boston Municipal, District, Housing, Juvenile or Probate & Family Court

Newer cases (most proceedings after January 1, 2016)

FTR (For The Record) audio recordings are available online for $10 or on a duplicate CD for $50.50. If you are interested in an audio recording from a hearing in the Probate & Family Court that is over a year old, you must file a motion to request this. 

First-time users need to create an account, provide credit card information, and pay $10 to access the audio recording online from your computer, smartphone, or tablet. The audio recording will be available online for 1 year.

If you want a duplicate CD to play on your computer, give a check payable to the "Commonwealth of Massachusetts" for $50.50 to the clerk of courts, clerk magistrate, or register where your proceeding was held.

If FTR isn’t available for your case, follow the process for older cases below.

Older cases (proceedings before January 1, 2016)

If you're looking for a duplicate audio recording of an electronically recorded proceeding, the clerk of courts, clerk magistrate, or register where your proceeding was held can give you a CD. If you are interested in an audio recording from a hearing in the Probate & Family Court that is over a year old, you must file a motion to request this. The fee for a duplicate audio recording on a CD is $50.50. You should make the fee payable to the clerk of courts, clerk magistrate, or register where your proceeding was held.
